| Gelli Primary School is proud of its association with the Breast Cancer Charity. Each October we abandon our usual school uniform for the day and WARE PINK in support of this very worthy cause. In assembly we heard how we can recover from a headache, cut finger, colds and flu or an upset stomach, but there are some illnesses like Breast cancer which some people do not recover from. Mr. Jones, our head teacher, told us about one of his primary school friends who is researching into ways of curing cancer in the United States of America. He is also the uncle of two of our pupils. Perhaps some day one of our pupils may use his or her skills to find a cure for one of the most devastating illnesses known to mankind. We collected £213.41 in spare change donations. Thank you parents and children for supporting this worthy cause. | ||||||
